Keith Fernandez, KFDS Founder and President, is an accomplished real estate industry leader. He has provided strategic direction and operational leadership to national and international developers for over 30 years, resulting in more than $5B in development revenue.
Mr. Fernandez's past projects include 10 highly acclaimed midrise buildings in downtown San Diego, CA; high-end resort developments at the bases of Vail and Breckenridge, CO; and one of Mexico's most innovative mixed use projects with 2,500 residential units, 350,000 sf of retail space and 6 office pads.
Mr. Fernandez provided executive leadership for one of Mexico's largest development groups by overseeing multiple projects, with more than 9,000 residential units, and 1.8M sf of commercial space. His breadth of knowledge and experience in real estate development, coupled with his dedication to mentoring leaders of the future, set him apart in his field.
Currently, Mr. Fernandez is working with Waikapu Country Town on Maui, Hawaii. Waikapu Country Town is a proposed community complete with renewable energy, sustainable architecture, Native Hawaiian cultural practices, and homes for primarily entry-level buyers. It will consist of 1,443 residential units, 200k sf of commercial property, 800 acres of agriculture in perpetuity, a 32-acre park and a 12-acre elementary site.
